This took 2 minutes to read, but I found myself thinking 'aah'.
It's Halloween and Daniella's little boy has been called names as he has no dad. He's run home from trick or treating, sobbing in his room and she's about to tempt him down. She's thinking of the last night she had with his dad, when they created this little boy.
The knock at the door has her hoping it's the bullies so she can give them a telling off, but it's Lance. She's not heard or seen from him in six years since their teenage romance ended and he left for bigger and better things, leaving her back home.
He explains that he's been moving around but that he would like to try again with her, that he's not stopped loving her, and that he would like to hire her to find the son that he is rumoured to have. She takes him to see her sleeping child. The End.
I liked it - it was a bit sad and then a bit heartwarming, but if there had been a little bit more explaining going on, a little more emotional stuff, a bit of anger then admissions of love, a bit with the little boy and how he now felt, this would have been really, really decent. Still, I liked it.
