I can honestly say that the title doesn''t do this book justice! Set in and around Cordoba in southern Spain 'The Wells are Dry' is a cleverly written novel that is a whodunit with a touch of romance. You are drawn into the world of fine art specialist, Ashley Bourne, as she heads to Pozos Secos to begin an unusual assignment. She soon realises that she may have bitten off more than she can chew and as valuable paintings go missing, who can she trust?

Quite clearly, 'The Wells are Dry' has been extensively researched and there is much attention to detail. I would not hesitate to recommend this book.

I love this book. Jennifer Morton is an excellent writer and this was one of the most enjoyable books I've read. The story starts with heartbreak, a new beginning but the story's through line is Ashley Bourne's search for missing works of art. Of course, every good story has a bit of romance, and Jennifer Morton weaves this in seamlessly, with Ashley oscillating between her attraction to Fran and her love for Tom.
Jennifer Morton's sound knowledge of art and Spanish culture is impressive and adds richness to the plot.
There's an unusual ending; but i won't let on what it is!
Definitely worth a read. I look forward to more books by this author. This one's a real page-turner!
But don't take my word for it - read it yourself!

An excellent book that really draws you into the story and makes you want to keep on reading. The setting in Spain is full of little details that bring it to life and the characters are intriguing. I didn't want the book to end.

Thoroughly enjoyed this book from start to finish. Plenty of suspense kept me guessing. I was terrified down in the caves. Highly recommended.
