About the Author
In her spare time (away from her animals), Diane Morgan is an assistant professor of philosophy and religion at Wilson College, Chambersburg, PA. She has authored numerous books on canine care and nutrition and has also written many breed books, horse books, and books on Eastern philosophy and religion. She is an avid gardnener (and writes about that, too). Diane lives in Williamsport, Maryland with several dogs, two cats, some fish, and a couple of humans.
Wayne Hunthausen, DVM, consulting veterinary editor and pet behaviour consultant, is the director of Animal Behavior Consultations in the Kansas City area and currently serves on the Practitioner Board for Veterinary Medicine and the Behavior Advisory Board for Veterinary Forum.

This book is outstanding! Well laid out, extremely informative, covering every aspect of owning this breed of dog. Give the overveiw, warts and all! Well worth the money and well worth hanging onto for reference.

We have plenty of experience of dogs in general but we've just acquired our first Weimaraner and we have been looking for book specialising in this breed. Some books are quite short, spend about 20 pages talking about the history of the breed, plenty of material on dogs in general and not a great deal on Weimaraners in particular. This book is very different. OK, the first 15 or so pages is spent on the history of the breed but, thereafter, it's solid information, carefully laid out and designed for weimaraner owners. I think the reason why this book is different from the others is that it co-authored by a vet

Full of useful information for Weim owners

This book covers the basics on training, first aid, separation anxiety and more. Weimaraners are a unique breed and this book does a good job of explaining about these dogs. I checked this book out of my local library and decided I wanted my own copy so I ordered it from Amazon. The many typos and misspellings are annoying and the same pictures are used repeatedly throughout the book. The later is a shame since these dogs are so photogenic.
