If you're a fan of DVD games then you'll know that most are based on 1-player quizzes and then adapted for multiplayer functions. Sometimes it works, others it doesn't. The great thing about The Weakest Link is that it is already a perfect multiplayer game and this greatly executed version makes it perfect for group gatherings and small parties.
The game interface is simple and effective, there is plenty of time to bank the money and both the weakest link and head-to-head features work well within the DVD game. The gameplay is quite smooth and it doesn't take too long to go from one scene to another.
A couple of small snags to mention: Since this is naturally a multiplayer game, the single player function seems to serve as a sort of practice feature and isn't very interesting. Also, when I first played the game on my main home entertainment dvd player, it didn't work - the question scenes would make it freeze up. When I tried another dvd player, it worked perfectly. Overall, this is a great game and good fun in larger groups, though not nearly as much when alone.
