4.0 out of 5 stars Indeed they Were... 24 July 2002
Format:Audio CD
A house, a bright and shining light that emerged from Walkinstown, Dublin. The music of A House is among the most original of its time, they never compromised, never bowed to the pressure to write that anthem that would lift them straight to the top of the charts and pop stardom. This album is a fair reflection of the twelve years that the house stood firm, from the simplicity of tracks like Love Is, 13 Wonderful Love Songs & Take it easy on me; to the rawness of early tracks like Kick me again Jesus & Call me blue; to the Complexity of Endless Art & finally the Death bell of No More apologies. This is a collection of great songs from the only other great band to come out of Ireland in the last twenty years.
Thanks for the ride Dave, maybe its time to add A House to the names in Endless art

5.0 out of 5 stars They were the Greatest 28 Jan 2009
By Richard
Format:Audio CD
Must have been 1987 - 1988 when I saw A House in the Mean Fiddler in London and they simply blew me away. Went out and bought the 'I want to much' album the next day.
20 odd years later I have all the albums and last night I sat down, pretending to study (back in school after many years), put on this album and simply got swept away in the majesty of the music.
A House were and always will be the best band ever to come out of Ireland and one day everyone else will realise this.
This album is a fantastic reflection of their music, but to get the full picture you need to get every album.
