But the closest Vicky, Vonda and Abby--who named themselves after the 1999 eclipse (mad-as-the-sun)--get to sounding like Westlife is on the power-ballad title track. For the rest of The Way It Is, they avoid casting themselves as the next squeaky clean teen idols or Westlife's opposite number, choosing sophisticated cool over processed cheese. Madasun are to rock what All Saints are to R&B and hip-hop; the perpetually positive pop melodies of singles "Don't You Worry", "Walking On Water" and the big chorused "Feelgood" come not just with the pre-requisite R&B beats and grooves but a selection of guitars that most US college bands would be proud of. Although this band vanished as quickly as they came there is no reason for this present on their album. This is truly Classy pop at its best! Some pop songs, ballads and real R and B style rythums, brilliant.

This cd is sooooo good! It starts off with the first 3 singles ( Dont You Worry, Walking on Water, and Feel Good) which set Madasuns trade mark sound! Nearly every song has strings and a guiter on it but they all sound so different! They get funky on Fine Line, Emotional on The Way It Is and Get Away (which i belive is about my home town which Abby the lead singer used to live in!)All the songs are Exellent. There is only 10 songs but they are all of exellent qualtity and having songs which dont live up to their standard would spoil the album. Apart from the singles my favourate songs are All I Want, Get Away,Fine line and Sunday Morning! Definatly worth the money coz you also get All the Videos to watch on your computer aswell as screensavers, Pictures, Links and Lyrics! Wow! i could go on all day about how good this album is but i wont keep you so you can buy it right NOW!

One of the best albums i have heard EVER! It has great feel good songs like walking on water and fine line. You can't help but dance to this album and you can't help but smile when you listen to the lyrics - they are truly uplifting!

When i bought this cd , i wasn't sure what it would be like or if it would be a waste of money! But it definitly wasnt a waste of money!! These girls have REAL talent , and there lyrics sing about other stuff other then "Silly Love Songs" I was pleased i had chosen to purchase this cd!! um im not very good @ writing reviws (as u can tell) but this cd is a MUST HAVE!!!

I bought the album of Madasun as soon as it was released in our country simply because I love their song, "Don't You Worry", which I heard only thru MTV. I never regretted doing so because I found a lot of other good songs in it. I do think they stand out from the rest because they have a sound that's clearly their own. It's fresh, vibrant and has a "Feel Good" (I just love this song!) attitude to it. To me, they sound like a mixture of rock & pop (like mixing a bit of Heart w/ the Bangles).... a nice welcome sound for the new millenium.
