About the Author
Peter Bramley is a scientist and economist who has worked at a senior level for ICI and Zeneca. He has had a life-long interest in history and has specialised in fifteenth century England over the last ten years. This is his first book.

This a must buy book. An indispensable guide to the sights of the Wars of the Roses; and in particular the fantastic collection of church monuments. I have now used this book several times and been to see a number of fantastic monuments - in places where I have often driven past and been unaware of the delights nearby. This last weekend I visited the truly amazing set of alabaster figures at Harewood church.The descriptions and directions are first class. Looking forward to many hours this summer visiting more.
A warning - and the author does make this point - Some of the churches listed are locked and it is frustrating to be at the door and not be able to get in. For example: Ruabon, Millom and Macclesfield (open until 11:00 for coffee mornings - I arrived at 11.45).
