Book Description

3 Jan 2013
Warren Buffett's Stock Portfolio is the first book to take readers deep into Warren Buffett's investment portfolio. Each of Buffett's current stock investments is analyzed in detail with information as to why Buffett found these attractive businesses and how he determined that they are good long-term investments. Each company will analyzed using the criteria outlined in Buffettology and Warren Buffett and the Interpretation of Financial Statements. The reader can then apply these techniques to a variety of other stocks and see if they meet Buffett's criteria. Although information about Warren Buffett's stock portfolio is available on-line, it is merely listings of the stocks Warren owns. No one else explains the criteria Warren uses to determine how and when to buy and sell. In addition this book will include stocks that are too new to be on-line. The authors will also look at a few top-performing stocks that Warren has sold in the last ten years.

5.0 out of 5 stars Must read for value investor 12 Jun 2014

Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
This book really did convert me from a Ben Graham style approach to investing to Warren Buffett's. That being to buy wonderful companies at fair prices than mediocre companies at cheap prices. Buffett never wrote off the principals taught by Ben Graham, he just took them and evolved them and took them to the next level. Lots of good examples of great companies and why a durable competitive advantage is important. This is a must read for any value investor.

The author was Warren Buffett's daughter in law for 12 years so knew Warren really well and learn't a lot from him.

A few small but obvious errors in the book but every book has a few errors such as typos in.

Don't be turned away from the book because you think that it will try and turn you away from Ben Graham all together. Warren Buffett still uses Mr Market and margin of safety principles and espouses Graham, albeit in a different form. That begin he buys companies with good economics in their favour and a durable competitive advantage at a fair price.

I thought that had given my review of this product already, Here goes again if did. I am a very satisfied customer. The book was as good as new, it arrived on time w/o issues. The seller deserves 5 stars for honesty & everything came as described, which s used but like new. Amazon is the way to go, see the exact same books, in the exact same shape as in the bookstore, but for half the price. It's a win win situation us all. Thanx 4 the great buy!
