DO YOURSELF A FAVOUR AND BUY IT!!!!!!! This album is sheer class from start to finish. Look at the guest appearances and drool. Any cd featuring diversity such as Sinead O'Connor, Jerry Hall, the Military Orchestra of the Soviet Army and Joni Mitchell to name but a few begs to be listened to. This is not just a cd - it is a musical experience. You can almost feel the razor blades as they dig into your flesh on tracks such as Don't Leave Me Now and Comfortably Numb. This cd touches parts that the new cd In The Flesh fails to find (but still buy that too for the last track!). Without a doubt the songs from Hey You - on which Paul Carrack delivers the best vocal on the cd - to Comfortably Numb - are the six best tracks to listen to if you are feeling totally cheesed off with life. I presume if you are considering buying this that you already have the original Pink Floyd - The Wall. If not - WAKE UP - get a life and buy that too. If life is a bed of roses for you then this is NOT the album for you but if,like me,you see the absurdity of war, despise the pomposity of the education system and need an outlet for your angst then stick this in your cd player!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh!!! Did I mention Bryan Adams,Thomas Dolby,Snowy White,The Scorpions,(the fantastic) Ute Lemper,James Galway,Cyndi Lauper..................... What are you waiting for? - I wanna go home - take off this uniform and leave the show..........

This is the 'cleaned up' set as played by Roger Waters in Berlin in 1990 - I was there!
The tracks are mostly as taken from the original album, but there are a couple of differences, the most noticeable being Byran Adam's rendition of 'what shall we do now' - the lyrics are as per the movie soundtrack... all about burying bones and breaking up homes etc. Cyndi Lauper murders "Another Brick in the Wall" but Sinead O'Connor does a stunning version of 'Mother' - a track perfectly suited for her amazing voice. Van the Man does a good whack at the Floydian anthem 'Comfortably Numb', albeit with 3 verses (Hello), but that can be forgiven. Roger holds everything together well and its clear he's very passionate about building that wall.
One for the complete-ists, or those of you who, like me consider Roger as being Pink.. sorry Dave!

Roger Waters have gathered some of the greatest names of the 1990s music world. Names as the Scorpions, Cyndi Lauper and Bryan Adams were major stars at this time and present a different and great version of The Wall. The show is bigger than ever whit so many people involved that it is breathtaking! Roger Waters have her really pulled of the event of a century, and probably the next century to! If you like The Wall, or like to hear dynamic musical theaters happen buy this and if you don’t……… buy it anyway and enjoy the music! The sound is much better than on the original CD and the 5.1 is great! Buy buy buy buy……….
