4.0 out of 5 stars The Book That Started an obsession! 28 May 2003
Format:Paperback
This is the first Dean Koontz book I picked up in the local library. I was so hooked I read it walking home and nearly collided with lots of lamp-posts. The story whilst not 100% original is hooking. The characters are timeless and it pulls you in as only Dean Koontz can. If you are looking for a new author to read or have read Dean Koontz'z more recent work and want to know where it came from try this. It really is THAT good.

5.0 out of 5 stars Impressive 8 Aug 2003
Format:Paperback
Imaginative, clever and VERY un-putdownable!
This book draws you in like a fish at the end of a rod. Although details are quite graphic - it left lots to the reader's imagination. Even though the plot has been seen and heard of before there are a few clever unexpected twists. Just when you think you have it sussed, it takes you completey by surprise when you soon find out how wrong you are!
One of his best books by far.

4.0 out of 5 stars Not his best but by no means a bad book
It has been done before, but its got that Dean Koontz style which makes it good. I felt it ended a little to short but it definitely makes an enjoyable read.
