I have now read this book a dozen times over the years & seen the movie & would still recommend it to everyone.

It's comedy, drama & real life all rolled into one but more importantly it keeps the reader wanting more.

Now it's on my Kindle I can read it again whenever I like I just think the Kindle version of the books could be a bit cheaper.

I thought the book was excellent. Unfortunately, I had read the third book in the trilogy (Stand Up Virgin Soldiers) before this one - the first one. This left me somewhat confused as to the sequence of events, but still pleased with Thomas's description of events.
