This is not your average zombie film. James Hong is a brilliant actor who is always memorable in all his films, yet who is often reduced to a supporting role or cameo appearance. He is co-writer, co-producer and co-Director of this film and I think he does a fantastic job. It follows the standard plot of some irritating people visiting a sinister mansion with an even more sinister vineyard littered with corpses. The special fx are of their time (but still decent) and the zombie make up is quite impressive. This is a very little known zombie film and it should be noted does feature the trademark old school zombies rising from their shallow graves scene. Give this flick a whirl on a Saturday evening and I'm sure you'll be pleasantly surprised.

I *really* enjoyed this film but it isn't for the squemish! It kept me glued to the screen and up for most of the night, mainly because I was scared witless! It isn't the most up to date with all the fantastic special effects that you see in more recent horrors, but it was still realistic enough to be (just about!) believable....well as far as horror films are anyway! If you're a fan of the gory, teen horror flics....you'll probably like this.

Can anyone who has bought this in the UK (Boulevard entertainment edition) tell me if it is in widescreen?
Since this company has released other ports of older Anchor Bay stuff like Hell comes to frogtown, The Stuff etc maybe its the same thing with The Vineyard?

Thanks
