This extensive collection of BBC titles contains some of her finest programmes, from her BBC breakthrough As Seen on TV which included the infamous Ballad of Barry and Freda (Let's Do It) and Acorn Antiques (also presented here on one DVD) to the one-off 50 minute show Victoria Wood: Live in Your Own Home.
The collection showcases her comic script writing in the six playlets of Victoria Wood Presents, focusing on the various annoyances of modern life – from health farms to video dating – and the feature length drama Pat and Margaret in which she and Julie Walters play very different sisters, reunited after 27 years apart.
It also includes the documentary series Victoria’s Empire in which Victoria Wood undertakes a fascinating quest for the legacy of Queen Victoria, visiting places around the world that bear their name, from Fort Victoria in Ghana to Victoria, Nova Scotia.

Amazon are very bad at detailing what is contained in their DVD collections. I took a punt on this collection for my wife's birthday. It contains:

All BBC productions. I don't recall them all and as the set is still wrapped i can't offer any opinion on the particular shows.
VW presents are 6 30 min comedy playlets each one a different scenaio.
VW live in your own home is listed as a 50 min show.
Victoria's empire is a documentary exploring Queen Victoria's legacy around the world.
Pat and Margaret is a full length drama with Wood and Julie walters playing two estranged sisters.
As seen on TV is her celebrated sketch show, again featuring Julie Walters.

Absolutely brilliant!!! I bought this a Christmas present for my partner and it has been a huge hit. Victoria Wood (in my opinion) is one of the greatest comics of all time. Doesnt matter how many times you see her sitcoms/shows, you always end up in fits of laughter or singing to one of her hilarious songs. A absolute genius!! Would recommend to anyone who loves a good laugh. This box set brings all her best work together, I have never seen Pat & Margaret before and loved it.

Very few 'comics' these days are truely funny. Most rarely rise above tummy button dribble to gain a snigger.

I sent for this dvd as there is never anything good on telly It is very good value for money I have watched 2 of the set so far and have enjoyed a good couple of hours Victoria wood is my favourite well worth it folks

I e-mailed 2entertain early in the year asking what the posibility of releasing Victoria Wood Live In Your Own Home and Victoria Wood's All Day Breakast on dvd were. They replied telling me that they were working on a boxset featuring these titles. However, this 7 disc boxset release they've come up with is a complete waste of time if you ask me. Everything on it is already available on dvd except for Live In Your Own Home, which is also getting a separate release, and which isn't even the full show which was previously released on vhs! As for All Day Breakfast, I'm guessing this is never gong to see the light of day now.
