Book Description

Of all the shit-hole bars in all the world, she was drinking at mine. I would've never guessed she was a time traveler.

I am Gavin Thorn--a drunk, a lost soul, and a slob. I sit in my bar in the Arizona desert, withering away. But today is July 13, 2014, and everything is about to change.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fabulous! 11 May 2015
By ChrisO
Format:Kindle Edition
This is a fabulously-bizarre extremely well-written short story. If like me, you are not into sci-fi usually, don't let that put you off. It had me enthralled and on tenterhooks from the very first sentence until the last.

Cant wait to read more from Mr Vale!

5.0 out of 5 stars Bizarre? Yes definitely! That is not a slam, it is praise. 3 May 2015

Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Make no mistake, this is not a Sci-Fi Juvenile. It is replete with disturbing imagery, graphic sex and more. It also highlights a couple of interesting concepts involving Chromosomes that I can't say more about without spoilers.

It will draw you in, revile, fascinate and sucker-punch you. All in only 20 pages.

A little more 'out there' than my normal preferences, but I have to say I do recommend it. If you like it but, like me, consider it just a bit strong, perhaps my own slightly more light-hearted tale might interest you too.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Wonderful Short Story 30 Dec. 2014
By K. A. Patterson - Published on
Format:Kindle Edition
I appreciate that the author warns you that this is only a 20 page short story, and my, what a story it is! I read "The Vestigial Man" first thing this morning and then spent the next few hours thinking about it. There isn't much I can say about the plot without spoiling it, so suffice it to say that it gets a person thinking. Vincent Vale has excellent spelling and grammar, so if you find bad spelling and grammar distracting, fear not.

I recommend this story to anyone with a good imagination.

5.0 out of 5 stars Way out there.. Loved it. 8 Jan. 2014

What a fun read. This book was totally different from anything I have ever read. I found it so original. It was funny and gross. The twist towards the end caught me off guard.
I would compare it to a Twilight Zone episode for 2014. Good job !!
