Raymond Blanc is one of those rare people who's passion and enthusiasm come through so naturally when he is on TV.
This series is in many ways a celebration of this passion.
We finally get to meet Mammon Blanc who is mentioned so often in Raymond Blanc's books.
We also meet interesting people, who are passionate about the food they produce, we see the beautiful French countryside and then of course there are the recipes.
However this is NOT just another cookery programme with step by step recipes, it is a celebration of regional food, and regional food producers.
This is a series that just makes me happy, it inspires me to get cooking and to connect with local and regional food producers and to enjoy life.
It is a real treasure of a DVD.
