This book is not only funny, but very informative, telling the tales of Kings, Queens, wars and diseases. Perfect for kids (and Adults!) who want an easy to read, brief history of britain.

Accurate yet funny account of history of the UK (particuarly England). Lots of odd referances yet never heavy. Indeed the balance between detail and ease of reading is excellent. For the price even if your on the fence its well worth a look.

A great little book this, factually accruate, yet amusing. Just enough detail to satisy, but every page has facinating facts. Sure if you want a detailed history on the english civil war, don`t buy this book, but iy you want to have a quite read before you go to bed, nothing heavy then this is for you. i prefer it to the 2nd book, which has to much detail....
