As a member of the successful rock band the Eagles, Don Henley has also had a successful solo musical career. From classic Eagles hits to the wildly successful, Grammy Award winning album The End of the Innocence, Don Henley has left many marks on the musical world. Out of all of the Eagles, he has had the most successful solo career. After the group broke up in 1982, Henley released solo albums, I Can't Stand Still and Building the Perfect Beast with the hits "Boys of Summer" and "All She Wants to Do Is Dance" making Henley a star in his own right. Henley's third album, 1989's The End of the Innocence, was his most ambitious record yet, as well as his most commercially successful. The album sold over three million copies and stayed on the charts for nearly three years, launching the hit singles "The End of the Innocence", "Heart of the Matter", "New York Minute", "How Bad Do You Want It?", and "The Last Worthless Evening." Henley reunited with the Eagles in 1994, embarking on a worldwide tour and releasing a live album culled from an appearance on MTV Unplugged called Hell Freezes Over. However, the group decided not to pursue any more projects together and Henley continued working on his fourth solo album, finally issued in mid-2000 under the title Inside Job.

I agree with the first reviewer this edition coud have been so much better!
Basicaly it`s a rip off of the excellent early `best of` Actual Miles,even the tracks are the same upto track 10.
Of the 3 excellent tracks Henley recorded for Actual Miles only Everybody Knows makes it onto this edition which is a crime as the other two tracks where far better than the tracks taken off Inside Job and included here,as a special edition CD would it have hurt the record company to extend it to 16 tracks?
Again the DVD section was short,only 6 music videos and no End of the Innocence,the only good thing was the 4 bonus audio tracks off various soundtracks that I hadn`t heard before.
The music is wonderful and if your a new fan then it is worth picking this CD/DVD edition up,if you`ve already got Actual Miles then you need to think if you really need to see the music videos.

Format:Audio CD
If you aren't familiar with the solo works of Don Henley, then this is a good starting point. It has many of his best songs - and the guy is a great songwriter, with incisive lyrics. (I'm convinced if he'd been born before electric guitars were conceived he'd have been a poet.) There are a number of omissions in my opinion - tracks like "My Thanksgiving" and "Talking to the Moon". Don't buy it for the DVD - but even if you are already a fan- and have all his albums, it's worth having just for his cover version of Leonard Cohen's "Everybody Knows". I've seen him perform this live several times and was very pleased by its inclusion.

Excellent overview of Henley's work as a solo artiste which includes some of the most thoughtful and insightful commentaries on modern america in the music world. Indicates where much of the Eagles' creativity came from.

DON HENLEY AT HIS VERY BEST, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED TO ALL DON'S FANS. EASY LISTENING FOR THOSE BUSY DAYS, ESPECIALLY IRONING MOODS, SING ALONG WITH DON.

This is brilliant. If you are a Don Henley fan all the hits are there he has a great voice.I never get tired of listening to him.
