1.0 out of 5 stars Bucks Fizz.......or do they??? 29 Mar 2004
Format:Audio CD
Hmmm!! In my opinion, this isn't really Bucks Fizz! This is from around the time there were two versions of the band doing the rounds. Bobby G's band won the rights to use the name, and rightly so, in my opinion. Sorry Mike (Nolan), no disrespect, but I think teaming up with David Van Day was a huge mistake!!
The versions of Bucks Fizz' classic hits are very poor on this CD, and the new songs, are not much better - sorry!
If you're reading this, considering buying a Bucks Fizz compilation then please take my advice - buy the "Greatest Hits" CD, or any one that has a sleeve with the original line-up on it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Eighties classic 5 April 2013
Format:Audio CD|Verified Purchase
re-living years gone - by a very much underrated band easy listening of a collection of classic eighties synth pop. quite upbeat and a better (and the original) version of Heart of Stone than Cher's..

4.0 out of 5 stars Best Of 12 Mar 2013
Format:Audio CD|Verified Purchase
This is a great selection of classic eighties pop songs including the well-known hits and some not-so-known tracks all by the original line-up comprising four vocalists: Bobby G, Cheryl Baker, Mike Nolan and Jay Aston

1.0 out of 5 stars Not the genuine article 24 Dec 2009
Format:Audio CD
As soon as I started to play this CD it sounded all wrong. Initially I thought it was me, but as the album progressed the tracks just sounded so different to what I remembered. Subtle but noticeable differences in production and vocals. It honestly sounds like one of those cheap albums you used to be able to buy in the old days - say when you thought you were buying Abba - but it wasn't really them just a copy-cat band. I used to have a Bucks Fizz album on cassette tape which I played over and over again - so the songs were deeply ingrained and I knew this album sounded wrong.

Fortunately I was able to find some original recordings on youtube - and then I knew I wasn't going mad. Then I found the other review on Amazon - what a relief!!

Please avoid buying this album - it has been a great disappointment for me. Amazon - you should investigate this and remove it from your offerings.
