I bought this as easy-listening background music. It is that but much more. Needless to say the playing is faultless but what really sets this apart is the tunes and arrangements. You can hum along and the clever arrangements mean that it will bear close and repeated listening. Moreover, whilst there is plenty here for guitarists to enjoy and admire, the guitar does not dominate the music, and it lies well away from the dissonant end of jazz, so this should appeal to a broad spectrum. Very, very good stuff.

Wow. What more can I say. For under a tenner this would be a great introduction for anyone to the world according to Acoustic Alchemy. Basically it's a selection from GRP label. So it doesn't include recent albums AArt or Beautiful Game. But it has Catalina Kiss and thats worth it's weight in gold! It a slightly different version/mix to Accaunium (apologies on the spelling!) album, but briliant never the less.
Buy it now... even if you own everything else! Superb!

My cousin introduced me to this album at a time when I was listening to instrumental music a bit more often than I usually do. It kind of took me by surprise because its not the sort of music I'd usually go for, but by god its good! There's a few lousy tracks, the same as you get on any other album. But some of the tracks are wonderfully uplifting, especially Catalina Kiss. Feeling a bit low? Play it loud in your car and I'll defy you not to smile and feel ten times better within minutes. Some of the tracks are quite mellow and relaxing, and wouldnt be out of place on a relaxation CD in a massage therapists room. Overall its great. I wholeheartedly recommend it.

Excellent introduction
An excellent introduction to the duo, one to be played time and time again. 'Best of' albums are always good for trying out artistes and this one is well worth it. Recommended
