Lousy super-scientist Dr. Thaddeus Venture, his two awkward, adventure-craving teenage sons (Hank and Dean), and their hair-trigger bodyguard, Brock Samson, launch on yet another whirlwind of . . . well, rather mundane adventures. At least, they start off mundane, and then things just get plain weird, as usual. This season starts out as the evil butterfly-themed super-villain, The Monarch, rebuilds his organisation yet again, and sets out to cause mayhem. Except he's not allowed to menace Dr. Venture any more. His wife says so. But The Monarch is the least of the Ventures' worries.
Strange new alliances lurk in the shadows, and players long thought to be out of the game are returning to the field. Find out more of the characters' secret origins and psychological hang-ups. Discover how hard it is to make a buck out of the super-science racket these days and why you should never get on the wrong side of a tetchy ex-pirate. Meet the Ventures' new arch-enemy, the taut-young-boy-liking Sergeant Hatred. Learn about the mysterious, ancient, and powerful device known only as The Orb. Great series, as always the venture brothers do not disappoint! The usual great plots and clever jokes are plentiful. If you liked series one and two, then you will love season three.
