The Amigos Invisibles are Venezuela's funkiest dance outfit, putting out crazy, boogaloo-inspired rhythms that make you wanna move, even if, like me, you were born with two left feet.
This is their fourth album (following the very excellent "Arepa 3000) and it has the strongest house vibe, probably due to the fact that the amigos worked with Lil' Louie Vega and Kenny Dope Gonzalez from Masters at Work.
Put simply, this is more than your average Latino outfit doing disco/dance stuff. The percussion work is sizzling and the range goes from a remake of the classic "Ease Yor Mind", to straight up 70s salsa on "Esto Es Lo Que Hay" ("That's all there is") and an extended boogaloo jam on "Majunche". This is the funkiest leftfield Latin, disco, dance album of the year.
