Even though the book is based on using mostly healthy nutritious ingredients such as Quinoa, many of the resultant dishes are decadant and delicous. Dairy free cheesy sauces and toppings, luscious Black Forest Chocolate Gateaux made without eggs, the most fantastic Ackee Quiche and rich warming tantalizing farmhouse style traditional winter savoury dishes such as Irish Stew and herb dumplings. The recipe for a dairy free banoffee tart and the very rich and creamy dairy free chocolate Ice cream ( not at all like sorbet)are 2 of my favourites. Just like the previous book Rainbows and Wellies you really wouldn't guess the food was vegan. This book is not just for posh pants and has many more everyday dishes and some great high protein lunch and snack ideas.

You got it!
From a list of healthy ingredients and a remit to create higher protein, lower carb, low bad fat, higher good fat, low GI (glycaemic index)load, low sugar, low salt came these remarkable still delicious recipes.
With a list like that expectations could be low but the book doesn't preach so you could easily get halfway through the book being wowed by the delicious concoctions before you realise you are actually eating far healthier food too.
The vegan puddings and desserts are just unbelievable and the testers wouldn't believe they were vegan at first.
The reviews from critics, magazines and newspapers speak for themselves - this book will change people's perceptions about veganism and leave people thinking not why but why not.
Buy all your friends this book - they'll thank you one day soon for switching a light on.

I received this book last week and so far I've tried the eggless omelette,lime soufflettes, and banoffee pie and croissants and I'm just wondering what has gone on with the quantities. I'm currently training as a vegan chef and these recipes don't seem to add up. I admit they've tasted alrite but only after making some changes: for each recipe i've had to adjust the quantites especially of fluid content, either there isn't enough or there seems too much. i don't want to be negative about the book because everything looks and sounds great and the reviews have been outstanding; the book itself looks beautiful and I was pleased to find a vegan book with actaul pictures in! i'm just not sure the recipes really work very well which is obviously very important for a recipe book! the lime soufleetes were just liquidey even after rising a bit, the croissants didn't look look like the picture and weren't like croissants (more like pastry),the omelette tasted nice but it states to pour in the pan and it was more like dough so i had to add more liquid! I know I'm good at cooking so I'm just wondering whether this book is all it's cut out to be. Not the best book in the world by any means, i think the recipes are good ideas but you may need to use them to interpret from and use as an idea to make your own. Go with your instinct, this could be the book for you, it could not be...I'm not sure!

One of the best vegan cookbooks available. It has so many imaginative, creative dishes, including some of the most delicious recipes I've ever tasted. I would recommend this to everyone, whether you're vegan or not.

I was really excited about this book but it turned out to be a real disappointment. Many ingredients are difficult to find and I find the long list of ingredients required to be offputting, while the flavours are often too sweet and cloying. Great for a dinner party, maybe, if you have hours to spare and want to make a great impression, but for quick meals this gets the definite thumbs down.

Some of the recipes work very well and are quite exciting to find - e.g. the "cheese-on-toast" and the "omelette" - whilst others don't work so well for me (pancakes completely failed), taste rather odd (chocolate cookies) or call for ingredients that are probably more available in Australia or the UK (for example, many of the recipes call for avocado oil).

A perfect introduction to veganism - and a source of delicious new ideas for long-established vegans - this inspiring book is registered with the Vegan Society and published to coincide with the Vegan Society Diamond Jubilee. Over 90 mouth-watering recipes for all occasions, from Crispy Stuffed Peppadew Peppers and Egg-Free Omelette to Mushroom Stew, and Chocolate Chip and Walnut Ice Cream. There are creative ideas too for emergency snacks and meals when you are in a hurry.

I bought this for my daughter as she wants to feed her family more healthily and wanted a book with pictures. Most vegan cookbooks do not include many illustrations for reasons of economy. I do know that the curmble recipe is delicious but cannot comment on other recipes as I have not tasted or used them. The book is very inviting and I hope it persuades people to try cooking vegan food because plant based diets are supposed to more healthy for most of us.

My fault maybe but didn't realize that all recipes are in USA jargon so have no idea where one would purchase some items in UK. To be truthful didn't know what half of them were.
