The main character is this short story is called Nikki. She has the Sickness, which is the desire to be bitten by a vampire and be ensnared in its thrall. The wanting is starting to take over Nikki's life, she thinks constantly about fangs sinking into her neck and the sublime feelings it would arouse in her.

Her erratic behaviour causes her to run out of milk and, awake in the middle of the night and desperate for a drink, she goes to the store. What she sees on her way home changes her life forever...

For a short story, this sure packs a punch! From the very beginning this tale is seductive and engaging, and it just gets better. When Nikki meets Jared things become incredibly erotic. As their relationship develops, another facet of his life opens to Nikki, and that's when things become really interesting.

Overall, this is an awesome read. If you love vampire erotica, this is a different take and it's brilliant. Recommended.

If the power of the vampire and the ultimate reward of sex is what drives you then look no further than this book. It introduces us to Nikki, a girl that actively seeks out the bite of a vampire but gets a lot more than she bargained for. With a strong lead character and dark and moody vamps you couldn't ask for any better.

First time reading the author's work, first thing I the think they got the KB wrong for the book because the story is so short, it felt like a sample so beware of that. Though I love vampire stories, I still like this read even though I gave it 3 stars, could have been a bit more but I will give the book this it was sexy. Nikki is an ordinary person with a need a very bad need to be involve with a vampire she tries her best to but herself in danger of being with a vampire, she finally gets what she wants when she went out 2:oo am in the morning for milk and recuses Jared who will help to get her what she finally craves.

This was the first short story by Fulani that I have read. Even though it was short, it was a hot, sexy read that I really enjoyed. I liked the whole concept of this world with vampires, hunters, and the sickness that plagues some people. I bought a few other stories by this author and I look forward to reading them. This story is a recommended read by me.
