Product Description

Over 150 years ago, a man was killed with a silver bullet in a rural, Pennsylvanian town. A man who just might be a vampire.

The Vampire Club, a group of misfits who meet regularly in the basement of Western Virginia University’s library, think that they might have found their first documented case of a real vampire. Better yet, the Club thinks that the vampire might still be alive to this day, lying comatose in a hidden grave. And this is good news indeed for a group of vampire lovers.

The hunt begins, and as they close in on their immortal prize, they soon realize that they aren't the only ones interested in the vampire; indeed, a powerful group of killers will use whatever means possible to keep the vampire permanently in its grave.

The first in a series that features The Vampire Club, a group of lovable, laughable, larcenous college students turned vampire hunters.

Disappointing 15 May 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
Having read and enjoyed other work by Scott Nicholson, and being a fan of GOOD vampire fiction I was looking forward to reading this book, especially as most of the reviews on amazon.com were favourable towards it.
Unfortunately I was rather disappointed. It was more the quality of something I could read on a fanfic website than work written by established authors. The characters were a bit flat, the dialogue didn't seem quite right somehow and the storyline failed to hook me in.
I'm wondering if I have actually read the same book as all the other 5 star reviewers. I always try to find some redeeming quality in every book I read, but sadly in this case I can't. It could well be possible that this is just not aimed at my age group (late 30s) but I don't think so.

Loved it! 19 May 2011

This spoof on vampire fans is so funny...I mean laugh-out-loud funny! Anyone who saw and loved The Lost Boys will appreciate the Corey Haim references (may he rest in peace). You will giggle at the Vu Vlux Vlan and the Vampire Club's single-mindedness to proving that vampires really exist. This is yet another book by J. R. Rain that will leave you anxiously awaiting the next!
