A new name in Electronic Music. Kalkulus has been taking 2011 by storm. Earning rave reveiws for his debut single "Music 4 Machine" which reached as high as Number 2 in the dance charts and Number 3 in the Alternative charts. This groundbreaking song along with the innovative video has been a hit all around the world. Since it's release in May, it has been picked up by DJ's and radio stations and been a permanent fixture in their playlist. Other notable Electronic Artists have hailed Kalkulus as an exciting new Artist who's sound is fresh and exciting. The Electro Dance Artist "Stent" did an incredible remix of "Music 4 Machine" which reached Number 2 in the Dance charts. This is the version of "Music 4 Machine" that appears on the Album "The Value Of X." "Modern/Retro" is one of the most recent terms used to describe the Kalkulus sound. His sound has echoes of the past, present and points the way to a new future sound. As if all this success wasn't enough, on August 12th 2011 Kalkulus supported the Legendary Orbital, in London at the Brixton Jamm. For this show Kalkulus invited the Electro Dance Artist "Stent" aswell as the Godmisstress of Elektrorock "Jenna Leigh-Raine" to perform with him. Their show went down a storm as nothing quite like it had been done before. Performing tracks by all three Artists aswell as re-imagining versions of Gary Numan's Random and John Foxx's Underpass. Kalkulus veiwed this as a one off show. A sort of Electro Extravaganza. But recently offers have come in for Kalkulus to perform a similar show at much bigger venues. His debut Album "The Value Of X" is for lovers of all things Electronica. You will find massive basslines, self created analogue sounds, beautiful synth melodies aswell as hints of Bladerunner, all put together in a melodic way. Read more ›
