At last, here is someone who is brave and thoughtful enough to challenge the conventional wisdom of our current approach to diversity. In this honest and refreshing book, Binna Kandola not only questions the effectiveness of how we deal with diversity in organisations but also points out a few home truths - however unpallatable. Having pointed the finger of blame he explains how we can overcome our individual bias and embrace diversity and difference not only in our organisations but in our daily lives. Insightful. It really is essential reading for all of us!

This book is amazing. I devoured it in a couple of days and it really made me think about not only what I can do within my business to really value difference it also challenged me beyond belief - I did not think I was baised at all until I read this book but now I understand much more about myself and how my preferences play out both in my personal and work life. This is a must read. Intellectual, excellentally researched, pragmatic and can at times make you feel uncomfortable.

I hope this book finds a broader market than just those who work in organisations. Its message is an important one for us all if we want to create a truly diverse society. Like many people I believe I'm not prejudiced or biased but after reading Binna Kandola's book I think I may need to revisit that assumption.

Binna Kandola's style is clear and engaging, he backs up his case with wide ranging research and interesting organisation based case studies.

For those who lead or work in organisations it's a handbook to keep by you.
