If you think boarding schools are stuffy, boring places when you read this book your mind will be changed. I think this is the 14th book in the series and it is one of the best. It follows Rebecca Mason and her friends in the summer term. It is a summer term full of boys, sport, fun, french penfriends and those dreaded GCSE's. What will Rebecca do if she fails her exams and why is her french friend Emanuelle acting suspiciously? Well you'll just have to read this brilliant book to find out. I like it because it is easy to read and has got lots of things happening. You really feel for Rebecca when she sits her first exam and want to know what's going to happen. It is more up to date than the Enid Blyton boarding school books, you can really relate to the characters and the situations are not that unusual, therefore it's a book for older readers. Don't forget to read the other books in the series first. they are all brilliant and if you are 10 you can grow with Rebecca as you read each book. If you like school stories with a bit of mystery and romance you'll love this.

5.0 out of 5 stars A great but forgetton gem 13 Oct 2010
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
I originally read this when I was younger. Now I find myself rereading boooks that I'd almost forgotten. It is lovely to revisit books from your childhood. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this again. I only wish that the author Anne Digby had finished the series. Now it's been left so many years that it would be too far out of sync.
Grown ups go and give your children a rare treat down memory lane. Let them understand the kinds of stories and times you grew up with you might be pleasently surprised. Young readers' although a little dated, do try this you might find yourself pleasently surprised! Enjoy!

5.0 out of 5 stars A great read if you are a fan of this series. 18 Dec 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I read the Trebizon series of books as a child but never realised the last 2 books existed! I recently re-read the series and discovered what I had missed. This final book seems to have been a rare print so obtaining a paperback version was too costly. I was delighted to see I could get it on Kindle for a very reasonable price. This was the first time I have purchased an e-book and I was impressed with how easy it was. I could begin reading in seconds! As far as content of the story goes, one character's actions really made me cross and I was annoyed at how easily they were forgiven - but apart from this it was a gripping and very enjoyable read and left me feeling sad that this was the last book in the series.
