A Romance Junkie 9 Mar 2012

Luca Sabbattini was the rich, handsome, Italian bastard who broke Bronte's heart two years ago. Now he's back and he just found out Bronte had his child and never told him. Never mind that he had unceremoniously dumped her. He hadn't even called her himself, he had someone else do it and then changed his number so she wouldn't bother him- very cold. It was a good story, I did like it, but I didn't love it. It was lacking conflict. Other than the fact that he dumped her and that she was still angry, with good reason, there was nothing else. She was still in love with him and he was still in love with her. So when he told her the truth about his reason for leaving her, she had to forgive him. Still I give it four stars and recommend it- hope the story of the younger Sabbattini brother has more conflict.

I loved the story. The heroine was strong. She was not ready to forgive the hero so easily. I loved the hero. He was not a jerk. He loved the heroine and his action proves it. He showed so many ways that he loved the heroine. All together I loved the book.

Excellent start to a new series 5 Jun 2011

Luc unceremoniously dumped Bronte from his life, cutting off communications and ties. He then suddenly appears at her doorstep again, intent on winning her back. Would bronte be able to resist? and would bronte let luc know of the consequences that flowed from their brief affair?

As far as the premise of the story goes, it's your pretty typical "have-an-affair-and-he-doesn't-know-he-has-a-kid" story. But as people say, it's the journey that counts and not the destination. Which is very true in this book. It is refreshing that the author makes the hero have legitimate reasons for his actions and you can actually emphathise with both characters and the unfortunate situation that they found themselves in. The new book in this series, One Last Night (Harlequin Presents) is really good too, that plot is more unique.
