This magazine is for people who are new to computers. It is not a comprehensive tech guide and has nothing about troubleshooting faults-a computer technician will find this book useless.

This is the seminal guide to Vista. The PC Pro team approached this challenge expertly: consisely breaking Vista into pieces and explaining what needs to be done at every stage - chapter by chapter taking you through in a logical order. After buying my first copy, I bought one for everyone in the office. A must for anyone in IT.

This magazine is full of hype and not really much useful or in depth information. I can see it would be helpful for people who believe in Vista, but the way the writers try to sell things to you as if they are new or amazing concepts unique to vista... it sickens me.
"Work faster, play better, get more from your PC". To do this you need to upgrade ram, graphics card and hard drive- these steps are covered in this magazine. Again, this is useful for people who believe Vista is actually better than XP.
My recommendation is to stay with XP at least until 2009 and to avoid this far-fetched propaganda magazine. I purchased it hoping to learn something about Vista, but it really is just positive about every single aspect (a lot of which are not unique to vista, let alone 'new technologies').
I would recommend purchasing something a little more balanced so you can at least be exposed to some of the drawbacks you will face when converting to Vista.
