I bought the original book of heroic failures from jurby junk shop in the Isle of Man for 50p.
It was the best 50p I ever spent! I've been slipping in quotes and anecdotes from the book into converations ever since.
So I felt duty bound to purchase the proper version of the sequel, so that even if the book is rubbish I've paid my dues for the great resource his first book was.
The good news is that I didn't waste my money, the follow up has, as hoped for, many golden nuggets of barmy facts and rediculous - but - true stories, It's not as impact-full as the original but there again what sequel ever is?
If you've never read the original then this will make you grin out loud, and If you've already read the original; although this hasn't exactly raised the bar, it definitely follows on in the same vein, which is no bad thing.
