A scientific look at the evidence for alien visitors 19 Jan 2001
By Perry Willis - Published on Amazon.com
I wanted to find a book that presented the best cases for evidence of alien visitors. It was rough sledding. Most of the books I looked at were pretty kooky, accepting any story from any source and making no effort to filter the bad from the good. Then I found Mr. Ashpole's book. He provided exactly what I was looking for. Are there cases that cannot be explained away? Yes there are. Are there cases where the best explanation, pending more data, is extraterrestrial intelligence? Yes there are. Does this mean that we have in fact been visited by creatures from other planets? It's way too early to say. I know and accept the reasons for believing otherwise. The light-speed barrier would seem to make such visitations unlikely, if not impossible. And if there are other civilizations in the universe then how come we haven't picked up their radio transmissions? I live by the principle that extraordinary claims require extraodrinary evidence. I am, by nature and experience, skeptical. But I also suspect that we humans may still be closer to the start of our scientific journey than we are to the end of it. We don't quite know everything yet. So I would like for real scientists to investigate these incredible sightings, and to be on the lookout for new ones. There is something here that needs explaining, and I would like to get my explanations from real scientists who are making a real effort to understand these phenomenon, rather than simply discounting them, or appealing to theories that are themselves unlikely. The cases presented in this book cannot be passed off as mere misidentifications of planets or aircraft. Check it out for yourself. Buy this book and read it. See what you think. I believe this subject desperately needs to be taken out of the hands of the kooks and given over to sober investigators. -- Perry Willis
A Refreshing Review of the Evidence 27 April 2010

Mr Ashpole has taken the mountain of UFO trash and dug out a gem of a book. A clear look at the UFO phenomena with a analysis of reports and evidence. I found myself nodding my head in agreement while reading this book. So many UFO reports have the "kook factor" embedded in them but are still taken as a scientific fact and rehashed over and over as "evidence". Mr Ashpole has killed a few sacred cows of the UFO community that should have been put down a long time ago! Please write more!
