This has to be the best book I have ever read. Stand back John Grisham ! If you have an open mind and are interested in learning about who we are, why we are here, etc then you will have to trust me when I say you must read this book. I do suggest though that you read the Mayan Prophecies, the Orion Mysteries, Edgar Cayce on Atlantis before reading this masterpiece, and in that order. They are all interlinked, and it will help you to understand. This book really questions everything and looks at giving us a greater understanding of life. It sheds significant light on the role of the sun in our reproductive cycles and personalities.
This book is absolutely amazing, one word of caution though, it can be very frightening. We are dealing wwith religion, Gods, and such like so please do read this with an open mind.
Good on you Maurice Cottrell and keep up the good work.

A truly remarkable book which seems to make amazing connections and revelations with full proof. However, Cotterell repeats and complicates certain matters to make them sound scientific. For example, the sunspot cycles appendix is unecessarily detailed where a brief explanation is all that is needed to make the point. But it has genius, once you have understood his explanations his discoveries are a true marvel. He's certainly done his homework.

I picked up this book believing it to be about 'The Curse of the Tomb'. Upon reading I became engrossed in the amount of detail shown by Maurice Cotterell. An excellent read for anyone interested in Egyptian history and culture
