Accolades for The Tunnel:

"I picked this short story because I thought it would be just slightly entertaining, I found it incredible."

"What an interesting and frightening concept - to entire a tunnel and
come out the other side into a world you've never seen before. The
author did an amazing job with this story line."

What if you entered a tunnel one day, and when you reached the other side, everything had changed; Would it be exciting? Confusing? Unbelievable? Or your worst nightmare...?

Dave Randall leads an ordinary life with his family in the suburbs. Then one day, on his way to work, his car breaks down in the middle of a deep undersea tunnel. He doesn't worry, but when time passes, and no other cars appear, he decides to walk through to the other side. When he reaches the exit, everything he ever knew about the world has changed, and he finds himself in a situation where he has no idea what to expect or what to do.

The Tunnel is a glimpse into a world where everything has changed, and where nothing will ever be the same again.

The Tunnel is a short story by the author of Exodus.

More About the Author

Andreas Christensen is a Norwegian science fiction and fantasy writer. He has recently published Aurora, the second installment of the Exodus trilogy, a space opera of hope in the face of the greatest disaster in history.

The Exodus Trilogy now consists of Exodus (part 1) and Aurora (part 2). The final book will be Genesis, which he is currently in the process of writing. Exodus received rave reviews in both the U.S. and the U.K. and has been described as "a race through the end of the Earth". For those who loved Exodus, the companion novella Alive reveals a little bit of what happens to those left behind...

Andreas Christensen has also written The Tunnel, a time travel short story, followed by The Tribe. His first fantasy title, Valerian's Company, is a tale of dark deeds and ruthless justice, in which a mercenary captain discovers that everything you do has a price. Sometimes that price has to be paid in blood...

Andreas Christensen has a degree in Psychology from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, and his professional background is mainly from public service.

When he's not writing he's probably spending time with Siri and Jonas, or working (writing is not work, it's a whole bag of fun, sitting in front of the computer and making stuff up!)

Andreas has a weakness for cats, coffee and up until recently, books so heavy he'd need a separate suitcase in order to carry them every time he traveled. Luckily, the world has changed, and the suitcase has now been replaced by the kindle.

Can you imagine your whole world completely changing in just a few minutes and then not being able to cope with the demands of a new existence?
An intriguing concept and yet here it is in the space of a few pages. Well worth a read and it's worth thinking about what you too would do if it happened to you.

What in heaven's name was that all about? Diabolical. Should never have been published and I certainly will not recommend nor be encouraged to read any more of this person's work.

I grabbed this book when it was free and have only recently read it. It is a very short story, but I found it interesting. It leaves a reader wanting to know what happens next, as well as wanting more.
