This is Alison's 2nd book and is a great summer holiday read ! It's a slimmer, faster read (than her first book) involving 2 main characters and 2 completely different worlds. Alison successfully mixes 80's blockbuster Jackie Collins-esque scenery with a muddled and insecure 90's chick-lit heroine and in the process cuts a whole new genre. The dialogue is snappy, the characters fun and I found it really tough to put down. If you've read the first book, How To Be Famous, then you'll be pleased to know that super agent Mac Parker re-appears as does his agency CMG. I love when books overlap. Overall, I thought this book was funnier and more confident and definitely shows that the more you write, the better you get. This is an author on the up. Well done Bond. I can't wait for the next one. I wonder which crazy chick the central character will be in that?!!!!
