Review

‘Am I alone in thrilling to this noble throwback to the age of Celtic romance? .. our Prime Minister is a grinning charmless twerp; our Archbishop of Canterbury has as much spiritual charisma as a raw potato; and the House of Windsor is dullsville. I'd dump the whole pack of them tomorrow and replace them with a single Royal, Spiritual and Political leader – King Arthur.' (Evening Standard)

Product Description

A fascinating slice of British history, popular culture and the eco-warrior movement – seen through the eyes of someone frequently on the wrong side of bureaucracy and the law – and a state-of-Britain exploration from this wonderfully alternative viewpoint. Now appearing at a Magistrate's Court near you! The Life and Times of King Arthur Pendragon

Eco-campaigning druid king Arthur Pendragon has waged a highly public, completely eccentric 14-year battle to assert the right of everyone to worship at Stonehenge. He has taken the Home Office to the High Court and HM Government to the European Court – and recently won. This summer solstice they allowed general access to the public for the first time for years.
Through the story of Arthur, this book will explore the state of Britain, politically and spiritually; what Britain means at the start of a new millennium. Arthur is a key to exploring the nature of Britain on many levels; mythical, political, historical, magical, moral and physical.
This book will cover the exploits and anecdotes of his past 14 years and at the same time serve as an inspiring mission statement – an `anyone can do it' manifesto – that whoever you are, whatever you do, you can create your own persona, live your own life, any way you choose to.

FANTASTIC BOOK 17 Aug 2003
Format:Paperback
This is a book for just about anyone, not just Druids or Pagans.
Got the book at the Beltaine Bash in London and read it on the train home, Arthur is a wonderful person, you can not help but love him. Maybe if we all applied his outlook on life the world would be a better place. Get this book you will not reget it!!

One of my favourite reads, I just couldn't put it down until it was finnished, intensely funny at parts, a great conversational way of writing.

It also follows on of the authors, CJ Stones journey to meet Arthur.

I have to admit that when I first heard about King Arthur Pendragon, like a lot of people, I dismissed him as a bit of a loony. However, reading this book takes you deeper than the media portrayal.
There is no doubt that Arthur's heart is in the right place. He is far from being a loony.
In fact he has the courage to take on issues to a level which armchair ecologists only dream about. Arthur is on the front line of not only the battle against the destruction of areas of natural beauty, but also for the acceptance of the right of religious expression.
The book makes all his motivations clear and you can see where he is "coming from". A good read about a surprisingly down-to-earth man.

Unashamedly hagiographical, worth reading
