1.0 out of 5 stars Too Short 8 April 2012

This is a good idea but the story needs a lot more devlopment. It was so short I never got into it and even at only 77p it was poor value.

4.0 out of 5 stars Intense but short 7 April 2012

This is an edge-of-the-seat thriller. The characters are convincing and the story grips the reader. It's all over far too quickly!

5.0 out of 5 stars quality work 16 April 2012

Let me begin by saying that the short story is my favorite type of literature and has been for decades. In fact my library consists of over 200 collections of various short stories. Mystery and horror comprising most. I did not know anything of this author's work prior to reading the story. After reading this short piece I would definitely read more of his writing. The jist of the story envolves marital infidelity and how one spouse seeks retribution in response. The ending completely surprises. Well worth the 10 minutes to read.
1.0 out of 5 stars Badly written 20 April 2012

Reading the other review, I wondered if we're talking about the same story.

I like short stories but this, well, this isn't good. I like the idea but it's been rather done-to-death (excuse the pun). The storyline is thin, the characters two-dimensional and it's not helped by the misuse of tenses and complete lack of punctuation.

Has anyone actually checked this?

For example, the title (inside the book) reads "The Tree's". The tree's what? Branch? Roots? Leaves? Fruit?

The ending was also far too contrived (spoiler coming). Was she really not aware of who she was fighting and would they not have objected in a way that would have made her twig?

No, sorry, this was not a good read. Don't bother.
