I first heard Dave Ramsey on the radio during a holiday in the US in 2000. He talked so much common sense that I bought a number of his books when I got back home. The total money makeover is his most recent and it covers every aspect of personal finance from dealing with credit card debt to saving and investing. It is full of real life stories about the every day people that Dave's techniques have helped. One if not the best financial self help books I have ever read.

Very easy reading. Finished in just under two days. Very practical without too much "financial" info. Common sense approach to being debt free. Highly recommend - you'll never look at spending the same way after finishing it, and highly unlikely you'll ever take out another loan!

Bought this book a year ago after listening to Dave's radio show for a year. This info has TOTALLY changed the way we look at and deal with money. After having debt for all our 28 years married (apart from 1st few weeks!) we now have no debt and have a future to look forward to! Still listen to radio show for encouragement - everything else is much too bland!!Do yourself a favour - listen and read for a few weeks. Debt is normal - be weird!! (Also, great thing is: if you have money - you can help people!!!)

Life changing
If you have will power, buy this book, it is a great plan. If you already know you dont have will power, it still might make you think... and change bad habits. Really worth it.

Practical but not a mind blow
