I didn't love this book, maybe because I had already read Mick Mc Caffreys version which was far more detailed and drew me in so much that I felt I was in the bathroom with them! I didn't get that feeling with this book.

I've read both books numerous times as this story fascinates me so much and provokes so many different opinions on the people involved. If you know little about it then i would say it's still worth a read.

A real page turner 9 July 2007
Format:Paperback
I think I had my head in the sand when the Scissor Sisters were on trial as I can't really remember it going on. The Torso in the Canal however made sure I knew everything that happened surrounding the murder and the Garda investigation. The detail in the book was terrific and in a simple and clear style it painted a full picture of the whole affair.

I liked how the author, John Mooney, gave a different side to the sisters, a more humane discription and a good insight into what must have led the Mulhall sisters to what they did and he gave us an idea of how they felt afterward. Even for those who were following the case the book gives far more detail than the newspapers and does have a different account of the women involved.

It is a not nice story and would really make you squirm. This is the stuff of horror films.

Biased 11 Jun 2007
By Chavez
Format:Paperback
I was disappointed in the way it was written. There was too much leeway offered to Linda Mulhall and I didn't like that.

What I was expecting was an account of the actual event, the period before and what happened after that.

To be honest...I didn't want to hear much of what Mooney thought himself. And he shouldn't have offered that!

Especially with a book of that nature!

It was a page turner at times though...so it's forgivable.
