Whilst other GCSE CD-ROMS I have come across are set up more as revision tools, this one focusses more on learning, and is therefore of use throughout the GCSE course. Although there are short tests on each topic, its strength is in its comprehensive coverage of each topic in the 'Classroom' section; it has filled in gaps in my son's knowledge and he is no longer worried about his grasp of the subject.

I am studying for my G.C.S.Es which start in about 8 weeks time. I already owned "The Times Educational Series GCSE Information Technology" program (which incidentally I purchased from this site and find very useful!)so I thought I would try another product from the series to help with maths. I found it brilliant as I am entered for the higher tier and struggle with the work. I was really worried about maths before because if you dont get a D grade on higher tier you get an ungraded. This program put me at ease as it is divided into easy to understand sections and goes through things one bit at a time
I would recommend this to any GCSE student especially if like me you are a bit panicky about maths!

My decision to order this product was based on its title, "GCSE Geography", but this is rather misleading. You will find that it only focuses on physical geography and map reading, and is by no means comprehensive. If you're buying this for revision or research purposes, be prepared to buy another one to cover human geography.
