3.0 out of 5 stars The Time Rivers 24 Jun 2012

The author is building a theory that the river Nile has coded references to the creation episodes and the five ages of man (Golden Age, Silver Age, Bronze Age, Heroic Age and Iron Age). It also shows the timeline of those key epochs, starting from 10,450BC and finishing at around 2106AD (and it's the same in case of Mississippi River where we have 1492 as a starting point, and finishing point at year 2000).

I've got a mixed feeling about his book. On one hand some of the theories represented in it are quite controversial and very interesting -> but they are mostly based on theories of people such as Graham Hancock, Robert Temple, Robert Bauval, Andrew Collins, Collin Wilson, Rand Flem-Ath, Richard Hoagland, or even Giorgio de Santillana and Hertha von Dechend. And those parts of the book I found pretty much thought provoking. Not sure if I agree with all the ideas but many are very plausible and at least some of them make you think (however, if you want to have more detailed description of some of them, I would simply suggest to read books written by the above mentioned authors).

On the other hand some of the author's own theories seem to be a bit doubtful (mind you, not all of them) - and there are some points that did make me wonder about the whole book. One example is on page 86-87, fig4.11 and 4.12 where we can see that when the Nile and its celestial counterpart (the ecliptic) are brought together -> "Sirius and Lake Tana almost come into conjugation and in a slightly adjusted arrangement, Sirius and Lake Tana do coincide". Key words being: "almost" and "slightly adjusted". You can't play with some of the data like that. They either match or they don't -> there is no "almost" there.

5.0 out of 5 stars Is Time A River? 18 Jun 2003
By Destroyer - Published on Amazon.com
Is time a river or is a river time? In the book "The Time Rivers" author Goro Adachi explores a new phenomena that is truly groundbreaking.
It seems that the earth has clues embedded within its geography, specifically major rivers, that speak to us through the universal language of mathematics. Mr. Adachi has, so to speak, discovered a template that has decoded the numbers and in effect tells us where we've come from, are and where we are possibly headed. He makes all the interconnections from ancient Sumeria, ancient Egypt, Eastern mysticism, astrology, astronomy, Greco/Roman mythology, geography, the Bible, the planet Mars and even the Knights Templar!
The author's whole basis is on mathematical measurements that any reader can verify with their own map and/or atlas. Coincidence? Maybe, but after 250 pages of consistent "coincidences" even the
skeptical would be hard pressed to argue the odds. As well, the reader will start to notice an 'intelligence' in the geographical design of the rivers. Which leads to the question,"Who was capable of this?"
Mr. Adachi says only truth has the ability to successfully checkmate 'reality'. The truth of the Earth being an orbiting body of accurate timeline hieroglyphics may be enlightening to some, reality-shattering to others. Decide for yourself. The 'Time Rivers' are flowing but for how long? Are you ready for the red pill, Neo?

5.0 out of 5 stars Wild AND Compelling 26 Nov 2003
By A Customer - Published on Amazon.com
I'd have to say that The Time Rivers introduces very unique ideas backed up by strong evidence. The wild theory presented in this work is remarkable for its convincing reasoning. By the end of the book, the reader is left with the big question - not about the validity of the claim, but about the nature of reality itself...

I was shocked to realize that, based on the multi-layered evidence put forward in this book, the Nile is likely an intelligently designed river.

It's so grand in scope that ancient Egyptian mysteries and such are reduced to being a portion of this "hidden design." (Fans of Bauval/Hancock's work, and also Hoagland/Cydonia, should really check this out.) It's crazy of course, and yet... very compelling. I almost feel this "Time Rivers" theory is something discovered slightly before its intended time of disclosure.

I certainly encourage all to read the book and see the "dark" revelations for yourself. It's an intellectual roller-coaster ride.

4.0 out of 5 stars VERY interesting book. 10 Oct 2008

I'm a frequent visitor of the author's website, which influenced my decision to purchase this book. It is extremely interesting, but probably confusing to someone if they were not already familiar with Goro's theories. I personally loved it, but it's not for everyone.
