Product Description

How to transform all aspects of our lives through the traditional Tibetan skills of positive thinking. It is common knowledge that the way we think profoundly affects our health and happiness. As Tibetan Bon culture has known for centuries, true, original thought is one of the most powerful energy resources that we each have, and tapping into it can bring us great spiritual, emotional and financial success. But, as Christopher Hansard - leading authority in Tibetan medicine - explains, most of us don't know how to think effectively. What we imagine to be thoughts are simply reactions to our environment and to other people, and are far removed from 'original thought', which has the power to transform lives. In this enlightening book, Hansard shows us how to take control of our thinking. Using simple meditations and exercises he shows how we can each harness the power of positive thinking to block negativity, transform emotions, and discover the deepest meaning of our lives, to make it the life we truly want to live.

I`ve not read Christopher`s first book but I think I will after buying T.T.A.P.T. I have only just started it but alresdy I have changed my outlook on life after reading the 1st chapter(The Power Of Thought). Most books in this field I have found are not the easiest to understand but Christophers explanations and examples make this book extremely readable for anyone infact I have recomended this book to several people already. Its the sort of book that if in 2years down the line your feeling a bit under the weather you could always go back to it and remind yourself what lifes all about and pick yourself up again.
If your a bit bewildered with life buy this and start a new one.
This is my new Bible for life ever after.

ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT 12 Sep 2003
By tampa
Format:Hardcover
Christopher Hansard's second book is even better than his first book The Tibetan Art of Living. In this new book he offers practical solutions to the issues we all face in the world today. Whilst Bon Medicine is probably the oldest medical practice still in existence it is quite remarkable how relevant it is to us today. If you are really looking for the answers go no further you will find them in this book. A book cannot normally take the place of a face to face meeting with a healer of the calibre of Christopher Hansard, but he has put so many useful examples of his work with other patients in to his writings that it is hard not to find a situation that he covers that is not relevant to yourself.
The book is divided into 10 sections, each covering an aspect of life from the Power of Thought through Relationships and Love to Helping others and the World in a Single Thought. Each section offers advice & practical exercises to deal with every aspect in your life. So if you are unable to consult directly with the leading practioner of BonMedicine in the western world, and his public seminars are rare in North America, then buy the book. I have and it continues to change my life every day.
For the cynical amongst you, I do not normally make recomendations of this sort, but for this book it was not difficult.

This is an excellent book for anyone wondering what life is about, has a crisis in their life or just wants to grow in one way or another. I actually read this book several years ago, but was recommended to it by a friend when I was trying to cope with a very hurtful rejection. Have to say it not only helped me over that hump but has put me back on track with my life in general.

Good book but!
I liked the book and what it was trying to get over about how to change your life, but it did not explain HOW to MEDITATE. It just assumed you already knew.

Not everybody's cup of tea.
I must say that I was not greatly impressed by this book. Mr Hansard clearly knows all about the Tibetan Bon tradition, but I found his style of writing cluttered and overblown -... Read more
