Format: Hardcover
There is hardly a better overview of the political history of the post-Yugoslav space. Sabrina Ramet has written a concise, scientifically sound and well researched work that has become the standard reference book for all those with a particular interest in the former Yugoslavia and its political development in the 20th century. Surely a must reading for scholars and students alike.

0 of 7 people found the following review helpful By Truth lover on 14 Dec. 2008
Format: Hardcover
Here we have totally biased view of the History of three Yugoslavias.
Serbs are painted as main and greatest problem of the country. The book is full of provisionary and false numbers without any reference what so ever. Examples: number of Croats converting to Ortodox Chsitianity on 1935, number of houses destroyed in 1999 war, etc.

If you hate Serbs you are going to love this book, but if you prefer truth instead then this book is of no value.
