WOW! What a story!

Katie Starr has a lot of problems - and a secret.

When Branch Kincaid stumbled onto the Gallagher's Tavern and Travelers Inn he figured that Katie was a bar wench and fair game for the asking. Only to find out that she is a widow.

She soon put him straight and thereby engaged his interest. He figured he could wile away some time with her as he dug more deeply into the comings and goings around the Inn. He was tracking down the Moderator-Regulator groups of men, looking for his brothers' killer.

He almost got caught when the Regulator's burned down Gallagher's Inn. He had to do some fast talking in order to save Katie and her father and brother from being killed. She just wouldn't listen to him and stay put.

Hoss Garrett wanted the killer of his son, Rob found and killed and then he would welcome his younger son, Britt home to Riverrun.

Edward Merchant was the leader of the Moderators and Branch still had to find out who was the big boss of the Regulators.

Someone called Trident.

Then Shaddoe shows up needing Katie's help to get vaccinations for the Cherokees against small pox. Branch wonders if Shaddoe is Katie's lover. The green-eyed monster starts to show up.

Branch is kept busy with his teasing and courting of Katie and looking for information on the crooked land deals that were going on.

The story just keeps getting better and better. Until Katie needs rescueing from the sheriff after her attempt to kill Sheriff Jack Strickland. He was trying to woo her until he turned vicious.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED -- definitely a keeper. Very hard to put down.

Branch Kincaid is one of my favorite Geralyn Dawson heroes! I'm so glad this has been released for Kindle!! I had lost my old paperback copy. I can't wait to give this great book another read!

I don't like to write negative reviews. This one is hard to describe. It's not that it's so bad as it is that there are so many little subplots running around that you lose sight of the reason you are reading this one. ROMANCE, FUN, ENJOYMENT, RELAXATION are a few in case you forget.

I found that the constant back and forth between Katie and Branch made me want to slap them both silly. This would have been a better read if it was shorter with less, of his willy-nilly he's going home to River Run and he's not taking Katie and he doesn't really like her.

I hung on and finished this one but I was about ready to archive it and forget it as a bad start.

HINT!! HINT!! Romance means good hot sexy interaction. Not fighting and bickering and running away. If I wanted that I could just not read and deal with my real Life.
