Format: Paperback
This must be the first 'cook book' I've ever come across that you could actually put your feet up with and read cover to cover. Yes this is a 'cook book' packed with recipes, but Michael Devlin brings each delicious dish alive with delightful and hugely entertaining stories that will have you laughing and salivating in equal measure.
His food is brought alive by stunning photography in this beautifully put together package. I can't recommend it enough.

4 of 4 people found the following review helpful By Steven Telford on 4 Dec. 2010
Format: Paperback
If there's a better food writer currently extoling the virtues of real food, I haven't had the pleasure of reading any of his/her work.
Delicious, that's the only word to describe this book. Simply delicious.
Devlin's melting lamb shanks are so easy and yet so delicious. His straberry rissotto is perfectly delicious. The lasange is the most delicious I've ever tasted... how this guy isn't on TV is beyond me.
Funny yet absorbing, entertaining yet informative, these recipes are meant for reading and re-reading. Infinitely enjoyable, I could take this book to bed and dream about gastronomy.
Cook books, the nexct generation!

Entertaining and informative. If the book was a Sunday dinner, Devlin's personality would be the gravy generously poured all over it.
Recommended.
