The Tapestry book 5 April 2005
By A Customer
Format:Paperback
This is a truly lovely book. If you are a K.Fasset or Erhman fan then you will love this too!

For the novice this book provides inspiration as to what you might achieve one day. For the more experienced stitcher there is advice on designing and planning tapestries with pictures in glorious colour.

The only down sides are that not every featured design is charted and in order to work those that are you will have to photocopy and enlarge the chart first - but then you may not want to work straight from the book anyway.

WARNING!!! BEFORE YOU BUY PLEASE TAKE NOTE!! 21 April 1999
By J. Might - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Hardcover
This is the EXACT same book as the book "Jill Gordon's Needlepoint - Glorious Tapestry Designs". And I mean EXACT. They do have different covers and different publishers but the insides are identical so if you already have the one you don't need this other. Having said that, the contents are beautiful and the writings from the author are wonderful to read. A book chock full of inspiration!

Inspired to actually stitch up one of these beautiful design 19 Dec 2001
By C. Gochicoa - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Hardcover
For those of you who want to stitch up these wonderful designs, you should be aware that the yarn used is from a UK company called Paterna. They also sell tapestry wool in the US under the name Paternayan. All of the numbers that do not start with a D are accurate, however the numbers that start with a D are only available from the UK version of the company. You will need to either substitute for them or order the yarn directly from the UK.

By the way, if you have any problems, Jill Gordon is wonderful about answering e-mails. She seems to be a very nice woman...

Beautiful design but disappointing 24 Jan 2001
By A Customer - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Hardcover
I have purchased many needlepoint books and used most of them with wonderful results. I found Ms. Gordon's designs some of the most innovative and colourful. Unfortunately it is impossible to use them unless one has an endless supply of wools readily available as the author neglected to give us the amounts. The charts are also very difficult to read. I think that this book could have used a more careful editing in order to make it useable. That said, I will continue to purchase Ms. Gordon's future endeavours, if only to ooh and aah at her fabulous designs.
