Gorgeous adaptation 30 Nov 2006
A charming and exceedingly Christmassy story that will delight all ages. The animation is beautiful and the narration and voices spot on for the story.

I would like to point out a mistake made in the "synopsis" on this page. It was not, as is written there, fairies that come to the aid of the poor tailor, but MICE.

I highly recommend The Tailor of Gloucester to people of all ages. The story is lovely, the animation is soft and pretty, and the music is delightful. Appealing to children and parents alike.

This is a truly scrumptious film, so much so that I cannot understand why it has not appear to have been released as a DVD other than as part of a very expensive box set. I am concerned that my taped recording of it will eventually wear out!
