The title says it all. This book is a great introduction to the art of fencing with the longsword using Fiore dei Liberi as a base. All the basic fencing principles are covered, from footwork through cuts to parries and skills progression, and its usefulness extends beyond those studying the style of Fiore dei Liberi, as those wishing to ply their art in the Liechtenauerian fashion would do well to have this in their library as well.
.As a practitioner and instructor myself, I can attest to its usefulness, and have stolen, errrr.... borrowed an exercise or three on more than one occasion. I highly recommend getting a copy of this book, particularly if you are just cutting your teeth on historical longsword.
