This is a book that combines all the myths from your wildest fantasies to your worst nightmares. The reader will experience heaven and hell and everything in between! There is also a more personal element with love and friendship and the difficult decisions and situations that can arise from these relationships, as well as some heartbreak and life changing moments. This is a brilliant example of P J Day's imagination and his ability to write and capture his ideas on paper. A first class read that I have read more than once and would recommend to anybody looking for a compelling and wonderfully written story!

This is the first book I've read by this author, it was free and the synopsis sounded intriguing so I thought I'd give it a go, it's not my usual genre which is romance and while yes this book does have romance its so much more than that and this resulted in me reading the whole series in one day, well I say one day it's now after 1am so that should give you some indication of just how good this book is but I knew there was absolutely no point trying to sleep until I'd finished reading.

L.A.Gods.

It became apparent early on that this was a book I had to concentrate on, so many characters were introduced and while I could guess at some of their connections to each other it was only a guess.
In this book all the main players were put into play but we're yet to discover how it will all play out and where everyone fits in the grand scheme of things and the grand scheme of things is the Sunset Prophecy and the end of the world. This book is full of paranormal creatures both fighting to save and destroy the world, so it looks like we're in for a fantastic adventure.

Heaven's Revolt.

In this book we get a better understanding of what's going on and who's who, Logan is so much more than he first appeared to be and what will be the result of his actions. Keelen is important but we're not sure exactly what role she'll play, Matt too seems to have a part to play and Cindi is she the key?
Will Lelantos find Theolodus and stop the prophesied war or will the prophecy come true? At this stage it's impossible to stop reading this series.

Wrath and Revelation.

HASH(0x9d637b7c) out of 5 stars The really good - and the really bad of it... 8 Oct. 2013
By TJ Mackay - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition
Hmmmm, the good and the bad of it. This is one of those that splits right down the middle - the points that are good are great, the points that are bad are infuriating.

The good: Mr. Day stands out as an absolute prodigy in talent. His writing is intelligent, smooth and incredibly creative. He tackles the biggest themes of all (Armageddon, religion etc.) with a brilliantly acute eye. Unfortunately,(as I've been known to say often) his biggest gift is also his biggest flaw.

The bad: There is so much going on in that creative brain that it lands on paper going so many directions that the reader may have trouble keeping it all straight - the story line, the characters and the themes. Extreme concentration is key, as is patience.

It also takes a very different approach to most Judeo-Christian heart-held beliefs. This ultimately will be the biggest turn-off to anyone with strong convictions. It was for me.

So.... want to read beauty in embryo while stretching those creative brain cells? This is a 5 for you! Looking for a concise, comfortable escape? Don't even try. :)

HASH(0x9d637bd0) out of 5 stars Good book! 23 Aug. 2013

The book is a little bit confusing at the beginning because it jumps between characters. Not a good back story to understand at the beginning. Halfway through its easier to understand. I do love the story and got sucked into it. I would recommend it to someone who has a lot of time to sit down and read it as apposed to reading a little bit at a time.

HASH(0x9d6938d0) out of 5 stars This is epic!!!! 17 Sept. 2013

I had read P.J. Day's "King's Blood" series (which I absolutely loved!!!) and did not know what to expect from his latest release. After just a few pages I was hooked and found myself reading every free moment that I had. Even until 4 am in the morning .....
The story is fabulous and so well written, the characters are 3 dimensional with their flaws and faults that make them even more likable and you can really identify with the trials and tribulations that they face, the decisions that they have to make.
The Sunset Prophecy is a story about the end of the world, there's mystery, there's romance in it, all wrapped up in an epic tale with lots of action, twists & turns, paranormal creatures, and even Hollywood and some of its stars find their way into the story.
I was truly amazed where the author had taken this story line and I can't wait for the sequel in this series!

HASH(0x9e11a3f0) out of 5 stars Surprisingly good series 4 Jan. 2015

Wrath and Revelation.

In this, the third book things happen at a fast and furious pace, Cindi is off on her mission, Matt is preparing for his big fight, Logan is preparing for what's to come, Adam is trying to find his brother before the Seraph's do and Keelen is confused, she loves Matt but what's going on with Logan.
Everything is coming to a head and it becomes apparent that not everyone is going to walk away from this but will the survivors be?

Armageddon.

This is the fourth and final book and I'll admit while I've been reading this series today my main concern, once I realised I was completely hooked was that the ending would be a disappointment, it's happened before where a series promises so much, invariably too much leaving me feeling somewhat let down, this however was not the case here. This book was everything it should have been and kept me on the edge of my seat at times, Demi-Gods and Demons along with humans, Seraph's and mythological creatures battle for the fate of the earth and the human race exciting stuff.
It seemed like an overwhelming and impossible task at times to tie everything up, all the lose ends and explain it all but it was done and done well and while this wasn't my usual romantic read, not by a long shot I know but occasionally I am drawn towards something different.

HASH(0x9d63c024) out of 5 stars A different sort of story from Author P.J. Day 8 Aug. 2013
By Mommylah - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition Verified Purchase
As a fan of P.J. Day's vampire stories, I wasn't sure what to expect from The Sunset Prophecy. I wasn't disappointed. Many end of the world stories take a turn towards zombies; thankfully, this story does not!

A young girl who is struggling to make it in Hollywood is torn between the love of two men; her boyfriend and her ex-boyfriend/new employer. Her best friend aka. psychic in the making has curiosity that leads to the discovery of an impending end times scenario that really just creeps up on the crew.

What I loved about this book is that it took all the of stereotypes that plaque Hollywood; struggling actress, wealth, greed, fame etc and tackled it with a heroin/martyr who tries to right all of the wrongs before the world goes away. The religious undertones throughout the book were also interesting and make me think.

The book is fast moving and the characters are engaging. I could see the scenes in my head and feel the emotions of the cast throughout. The ending had me at the edge of my seat.

I'm looking forward to seeing where P.J. Day takes us in the next installment of the Prophecy.
