After Sunset, nothing will be the same…

Recovering from the emotional trauma of their youngest daughter's cancer, John and Cathy Hamilton take their young family to a beautiful 5-star hotel on an idyllic Caribbean island, expecting the holiday of a lifetime.

5.0 out of 5 stars These vampires really bite! 1 Sep 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I am not a huge fan of cuddly, sparkly vampires so thoroughly enjoyed Clive Martyn's scary tale. Here we have all the ingredients for a pageturning story and 'Sunset Hotel' is just that. Set in a sundrenched paradise, with a family badly in need of a time to heal, little could they have anticipated what they were stepping into and how their lives would change forever in a place where they can trust no one, not even each other. Not for the fainthearted, this will keep horror fans glued to the page. Great stuff!

5.0 out of 5 stars Couldn't put it down! 10 Dec 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
As a devout Twilight fan (did I seriously just admit to that!), Clive Martyn's sensational vampire narrative was an absolute pleasure to read. Faced with the Holiday from Hell, protagonist John Hamilton and his unsuspecting family are divided by evil, unnatural forces. Driven by raw human emotion, heroic bravery, love, lust, sin, and depraved secrets, teamed with a dark twist, this is certainly a must-read. WARNING: be careful when reading this on the tube, danger of missing your stop (like me!)

5.0 out of 5 stars A Brilliant Read 22 Aug 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Read this over two rather late nights as I couldn't put it down! Vampires with a bit more bite - no twinkly skin, no guilt addled, cross species romances etc. Loved the pace and the way the relationships were depicted between the father/daughter, husband/wife. Also good towards the end to get some ideas on the science/logic behind their origins without all the answers. Description of the action & scenery was so good I could really see this working on screen too. Definitely worth a read and will be looking out for anything else by this author!
