This album is a rock 'n' roll goldmine. It's full of unearthed gems performed by a revitalised band.
The Wad haven't sounded so consistently good as this for years in fact this is arguably the most consistent album they've ever produced, the quality (and energy) is unremitting from start to finish.
The vocal charisma of Dave Bartram shines on tracks like Tweedle Dee, Uranium Rock and Let's Go, Let's Go, Let's Go; these numbers create the same kind of joy the Wad conjured in their chart heyday.
Elsewhere the guitar playing of Danny Wilson is superb, the entire band sound so energised.
This album reconnected me with roots of rock 'n' roll. Thanks boys - and here's to a Volume 2!
